After years of heartbreak, healing, and hard-fought hope, I’m so humbled (and a little amazed) to say…
My book, Shattered Surrender, is officially published.
This is more than a book launch. It’s the offering of my story—a testimony of God’s faithfulness in the wilderness, of healing after betrayal, and of restoration when everything seemed broken beyond repair.
For 34 years, I lived a story I thought I understood—until the bottom fell out. What followed was a season of devastation, disillusionment, and ultimately, surrender. In these pages, I share the raw truth of what happened behind closed doors, the grief of letting go, and the powerful ways God met me in the ashes.
This book is for:
The woman who’s praying for her marriage and feels like she’s losing herself.
The survivor who wonders if they’ll ever feel whole again.
The believer who has said, “God, I trusted You—why did this happen?”
Anyone longing to know they’re not alone, and that healing is possible.
📖 What You’ll Find in Shattered Surrender:
Real journal entries from my darkest and most healing days
Biblical truth and encouragement
Reflections on narcissistic abuse, trauma, PTSD, and betrayal
Stories of God’s presence in unexpected moments
A path toward deeper freedom, faith, and identity
đź’› My Prayer for You
My heart is that Shattered Surrender would be a companion in your pain and a testimony to God’s goodness. I didn’t write this to expose anyone—I wrote it to exalt the One who rescued me. May you find courage in these pages and be reminded that God never wastes your pain.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your prayers, support, and encouragement on this journey. The road to healing is not linear, but it is worth it—and you don’t have to walk it alone.
With love and gratitude,
Jennifer
~ Testimonials on Shattered Surrender ~
“Jennifer, a bright and lovely young girl, dreamed of one day meeting the man of her dreams and experiencing the blessings of a long life in a committed marriage. She thought that all these dreams would be realized after meeting and marrying someone who promised to cherish her. After 34 years of marriage, these dreams were shattered when she learned that her husband had been concealing a shameful double life. The shameful and disturbing revelations destroyed the marriage and life that they had built together.
Out of the ashes of this devastating heartbreak, God began to write a new and beautiful story, a story filled with faith, joy, peace and blessings. God literally redeemed Jennifer’s pain and suffering for His glory. God faithfully shepherded her toward a beautiful life rich with new opportunities. It is remarkable that a book filled with hardship could also contain such encouragement! If you are struggling through a difficult season in your own life, you will be blessed as you read Jennifer’s story. From cover to cover, you will encounter the God who has promised to “never leave you or forsake you.” You will come face to face with God’s powerful love for you. You will be amazed at how tenderly God will care for you in your lowest moments.
Against the backdrop of so many fake impressions of perfection on social media, it’s so easy to feel like a failure. But social media never tells the whole story. It’s also very rare for authors to share their story with brutal honesty. I found Jennifer’s candor and transparent self-reflection to be refreshing. Rather than glossing over her personal failures, she owns her mistakes and walks in the freedom that the Gospel provides.
Jennifer’s story does not end in depression or loneliness. It ends in worship. In place of all the painful memories, God has lovingly embedded the lyrics of powerful hymns and choruses. These lyrics celebrate a faithful God who has promised to be a firm and secure Anchor for our soul (Hebrews 6:19).”

“This is a memoir of heartbreak and triumph. It begins with childhood struggles we women commonly encounter, but these vulnerabilities were preyed upon by the one who vowed to love and cherish her for a lifetime only to do the exact opposite. Love was met with disdain while control and manipulation were this husband’s “tools of the trade” right from the first time they met. Cherish and honor took a backseat to emotional and verbal abuse and physical betrayal. But with the passage of time and much hard work, this author’s eyes were opened, and today she walks in complete freedom through the grace and mercy of God, and family and friends who remained prayerful and vigilant for 40 years.”
