No matter how many times I see God do amazing things in my life, I’m in awe of Him every single time. I don’t believe in coincidences; I believe God is in control of everything that touches my life. Everything is by His design. When my book, Shattered Surrender, was first published on Amazon, I shared a launch post on my subdivision’s Facebook page—just a simple way to let my neighbors know about it. To my surprise, one of my neighbors reached out in a private message and asked if I’d be interested in being a guest on her podcast. At first, I was hesitant. It’s one thing to write my story, but to speak it out loud on a public platform felt overwhelming. After praying about it for a few days, I responded to Genevieve’s message and accepted her invitation. On October 1, Genevieve, host of the Hidden Chapters podcast, interviewed me about my journey and the heart behind Shattered Surrender. It was such a wonderful experience—much easier than I expected—and the conversation flowed naturally. Genevieve asked thoughtful questions that opened the door for me to share parts of my story that didn’t make it into the book. Each time I share my story, I’m reminded that God wastes nothing—not even the most painful chapters of our lives.
