Woke up late. Spilled coffee on myself as I was walking out the door. An hour late clocking in at work.
Emotions manifesting at the edge of my eyes, spilling out as tears onto my cheeks. Great! Now my makeup will be splotchy all day! Feeling sad and overwhelmed.
Ever have a morning like that?
I don’t have them very often but when they happen, I just want to crawl back into my bed and hide from the world.
Then I’m quietly reminded that I do have a place to hide from the world.
He IS my hiding place.
“You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance.”
~ Psalm 32:7 (ESV)
When life gets overwhelming and I just want to hide from everything, I am so very thankful that I have a place where I can run and be completely accepted, unconditionally loved, and abundantly restored!
By the time I arrived at work, my attitude had changed and I had a song of praise in my heart!
Oh, how I love how He LOVES me! The God of the universe cares about my day! He cares about my broken heart! He cares about my tears! He sees me and I am so very thankful!!
And, my dear faithful friend, He cares about everything that touches your life and your heart as well!
If you’re having “one of those days”, pause and listen for His still small voice speaking into your soul…
“Rest with Me awhile”…
